ABOUT
I am fascinated by media and technology. Our lives are continuously influenced by these two forces for the better (or worse). Throughout my career, I have looked to harness these forces to positively impact the communities and people I serve. Currently I work with media and technology at Doximity, a health-tech company focusing on improving the lives of doctors and healthcare professionals in the US. Additionally, I help with the research and design of materials for an upcoming clinical trial to help patients better manage their diabetes.
I am a graduate of Northwestern University, where I studied journalism, psychology, marketing, and design. During my time at Northwestern, I explored the ways in which media plays a role in our daily lives, how we can create content that is engaging in a world of noise, and how to enhance the lives of the user through human-centered service design.
In 2019, I spent six months in San Francisco developing my storytelling, marketing and design skills at the epicenter of innovation. I began this journey in January through Northwestern's Bay Area Immersion Program, where I explored my interests at the intersection of media and technology. I worked with startups and large companies alike (Meedan and Airbnb) to design services and develop communication strategies that will allow them to capture new market segments.
At Northwestern, I was actively involved on campus. I supported the Medill School of Journalism as an Undergraduate Student Advisory Council Ambassador, giving prospective students an introduction to the Northwestern experience. I was the president of Northwestern's chapter of NLGJA, the association for LGBTQ+ journalists, working to establish a sense of community and collaborate with other affinity groups across campus. Additionally, I was a Peer Adviser for Medill, where we lead new students through our Wildcat Welcome orientation and advise them throughout their transition process. Finally, I created content and developed marketing assets for Catnip, Medill's digital entertainment/variety publication, as I continued to delve into my passion for media.
